ANDREA KEENE

Senior Strategist,
Fundraising

With two decades of fundraising and nonprofit expertise, I have witnessed the capacity of nonprofits and foundations to make powerful change. To facilitate this change, I work in collaboration with organizations to assess resources, leverage relationships and build sound strategies for engaging donors and board members.

Prior to joining Social Harmony, I worked with organizations focused on the arts and education including American Ballet Theatre, the Boys + Girls Club, and First Night Austin. With a keen knack for relationship building, my expertise includes major gifts, strategic planning, and board development.

In 2008, I created the Development and External Relations program in the Department of Art and Art History at UT Austin. During my nine years at UT, I directed all aspects of fundraising including major gifts; foundation, corporate, and annual giving; special events; and alumni and board relations. I launched a donor travel program and led trips to Guatemala with renowned Maya scholar and UT Professor, Dr. David Stuart. In partnership with the Flying Longhorns, I organized and hosted alumni trips across Italy, showcasing the research of the department’s art historians and study abroad program located in the heart of Tuscany.
I have a diverse background in the performing and visual arts. I danced professionally in London, France, and the US and produced art shows and theater productions in NYC. I have worked and volunteered with countless arts organizations and believe in the impact of the arts as an examination and expression of the human condition. I travel whenever possible, always striving to nourish my undying wanderlust and need for adventure.
